Even though I’ve never had Dengue myself, watching my son get hospitalised and suffer from it for nearly 2 weeks was a really painful experience. He had a 40-degree high fever and I remember rushing to the hospital at 1 in the morning amidst the whole covid-19 situation, where there were so many restrictions and only one visitor could visit him at one time during the 4-day-stay. I remember feeling helpless, anxious and I was constantly in fear. While the world is facing a global pandemic, let’s not forget about Dengue fever which has already taken 12 lives in our country and exceeded 11,000 cases this year alone.
